Seven people have been shot dead at a synagogue in East Jerusalem. The attack took place on Holocaust Memorial Day.
A 14 year old boy is among the dead, and a number of other people were wounded.
Israeli Ppolice said the attacker was killed by the security forces as he fled the scene.
Tensions have been high since 9 Palestinians, both militants and civilians, were killed during an Israeli military raid in Jenin in the occupied West Bank. It was one of the deadliest raids in years, as tensions rise in the region.
